2. Podium Walker explained- using Podium Browser with Walker

A four part series of video tutorials has been created to explain how to quickly design a model with the help of Podium Browser and then how to use Podium Walker to walk around the new model photo-realistically.

Click on the above image to link to the third of four video tutorials. This video tutorial explains how to create your photo-realistic walk thru animation from your SketchUp model.

3. Podium Browser 2- new content in April and new video tutorials

Podium Browser 2 Cadalog, Inc. has been focused on creating new 3D trees and plants and tools for us to develop these quickly. Also we have added new backgrounds. Open your Podium Browser and click on Show Only Recent to see what has been added recently.

• Click on the image to see a higher resolution.
• Except for the structure, all design items including backgrounds, trees, furniture, light fixtures came from Podium Browser. The model was then rendered in Podium V2.
• Examine the new 4 part video series especially Part One and Two for Podium Browser.
  • 1. Part One - creating the interior model with Podium Browser
  • 2. Part Two - model the exterior terrain with Podium Browser backgrounds and 3D trees
  • 3. Part Three- Now create the Podium Walker photo-real animation of the new design
  • 4. Part Four - Create a second, slightly more complex path animation with Podium Walker

4. Viso3D SketchUp exporter plug-in and iPad viewer

Viso3D is comprised of two programs. One is a SketchUp plug-in currently for SketchUp Windows only. This plug-in converts the SketchUp model to a file that can be read on your iPad. File format is called .xcs.The other program is an iPad viewer which will read the .xcs file and provide walk-thru navigation features.

Free 30 day trial of the Viso3D SketchUp exporter plug-in is available.

Viso3D SketchUp exporter plug-in is now on $9.95 (USD). Mac is coming.
